Parent's Evening
Thank you to all of the parents who have been able to attend the parent teacher consultations this week. It is a great opportunity to discuss how well your child is getting on and the next stages in their learning.
Key Stage 1 Autumn Walk

On Tuesday the whole of Key Stage One went to Stourhead gardens for their Autumn walk. Yet again it rained very heavily, but the children were in excellent spirits and a wonderful day was enjoyed by all.
Thank you to all the parent helpers who joined us to get wet and to all the parents that made sure the children were very well dressed for the bad weather.
Case Space

A huge thank you to every one who turned up to the casespace art exhibition at Bruton Museum on Saturday. It was very well attended by local people who were very impressed with the level of talent on display. We hope to see more of the school community during the next couple of weeks. We would extend our gratitude to Douglas Learmond and the Bruton Museum Committee for their warm welcome and support.

Harvest Festival
Our harvest festival was a wonderful event. The hall looked splendid with all your fresh and home grown produce. As always the children rose to the occasion, singing the songs beautifully and performing their parts with lots of enthusiasm and smiles (especially the Willow Class mexican smile!). It was great to see so many parents and grandparents supporting us.

Upton
Noble
School
is set in the beautiful
Somerset
countryside, near Bruton. Our dedicated staff provide the children from the surrounding villages and towns with a stimulating and challenging curriculum in the context of a calm, orderly environment. As a Christian foundation, we believe in helping our children to reach their potential physically, academically, socially and spiritually.
Our school, which was founded in 1965, is a light, attractive building with wonderful views across the
Brue
Valley
. We have our own outdoor swimming pool and changing rooms, sports field, two playgrounds and nature area. Our children are encouraged to appreciate and care for their environment at a local, and a global level through School Council, Gardening Club and an ongoing commitment to sustainability.
Our excellent sporting facilities and surrounding environment enable our children to participate and succeed in a wide range of sporting endeavours, from cross-country running to netball and rugby, and our children regularly win local and regional tournaments. We believe that through sport and physical activity, our children learn to respect the abilities of others, cope with the challenges of a competitive environment and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
But healthy lifestyles don't begin and end on the sports field. We have a kitchen on site, which serves hot, freshly-prepared, nutritious meals every lunchtime. Over 80% of our children take up the option of a hot school meal. Have a look at this month's menu to see why!
