At Upton Noble Church of England VC Primary School
we aspire to be:
A kind, caring community of lifelong learners - eager to achieve the best for ourselves and others, within a Christian ethos
This week we started had the first of our family learning sessions in Maple class. It was without doubt one of the best experiences I have witnessed in my time here at Upton Noble. To see that many adults in school, learning with the children and fully interacting with the whole task was superb. Thank you to every single person who was able to commit your precious time for the afternoon. I know it was really appreciated by Mrs Barlow and also the children themselves. We now eagerly look forward to Pine's session on Thursday 8th March.
Also this week saw KS1 take part in a Caribbean workshop, this was led by our old friend Gloria Lawrence. The children were thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and there will be a CD finding its way home soon.
Respectful, Resilient, Creative and Communicative!

Upton
Noble
School
is set in the beautiful
Somerset
countryside, near Bruton. Our dedicated staff provide the children from the surrounding villages and towns with a stimulating and challenging curriculum in the context of a calm, orderly environment. As a Christian foundation, we believe in helping our children to reach their potential physically, academically, socially and spiritually.
Our school, which was founded in 1965, is a light, attractive building with wonderful views across the
Brue
Valley
. We have our own outdoor swimming pool and changing rooms, sports field, two playgrounds and nature area. Our children are encouraged to appreciate and care for their environment at a local, and a global level through School Council, Gardening Club and an ongoing commitment to sustainability.
Our excellent sporting facilities and surrounding environment enable our children to participate and succeed in a wide range of sporting endeavours, from cross-country running to netball and football, and our children regularly win local and regional tournaments. We believe that through sport and physical activity, our children learn to respect the abilities of others, cope with the challenges of a competitive environment and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
But healthy lifestyles don't begin and end on the sports field. We have a kitchen on site, which serves hot, freshly-prepared, nutritious meals every lunchtime. Over 80% of our children take up the option of a hot school meal. Have a look at this month's menu to see why!
