Summer Term 2009

 

 Louise Woolacott from the charity Lepra came in to launch our fitness fundraiser on Tuesday. Mrs Woolacott was very impressed with the children's behaviour and interest - she said we were the best school she'd ever visited!

 

Elm class invited parents and villagers to come and see the models they had made of Upton Noble. They baked cakes and biscuits, then served the visitors tea and cake.

 

Willow Class created some pictures fo their mums' in the style of Andy Warhol. These are all on display in the school hall. Come in and see them - can you guess who they are?

 

Maple have been making working models using Techcard. The children followed the plans, measured, cut, scored and decorated their models.

 

 

 


 

 

Ash class are getting very techincal this term... watch this space for their robots!

 

Acorn class had a picnic to help them learn French. They wrote shopping lists, made sandwiches then learnt the French words for the different foods. Finally they ate it all!

 

The Treehouse is 1 year old - happy birthday to the Treehouse.

 

We celebrated with a special birthday party which included jelly and cake. It has been a busy year for the Treehouse and all of  the pre-school children.

 

Sports Week

 

 

 

 

 

We began Sports Week with some children from year 6 going up to London to watch the tennis at Wimbledon.

 

On Monday the Arsenal Soccer school came to help us improve our soccer skills

 

Beech class organised an afternoon of multi skills for key stage 1.
