A lot of writers and artists
get their ideas from nature.
Find a quiet place to sit and write a story (it could
be your favourite tree, garden or a bench with a view)
BIRD'S TALE
Write a story about a bird
Here are some ideas:
- Bird’s home being chopped down
- Bird’s summer holiday
- Bird’s first day in the city
- Baby bird’s first flight
You could take photos to put in your story.
How many different birds can you get into your story?
BIRD COMIC
Can you make your story as a cartoon?
If you don't want to draw, try finding some photos and pictures to cut out and stick on your comic strip - you could make a collage of different animals and places using lots of different pictures in the same cartoon box.
BIRD MAP
Draw a map for your story
Think about where your bird lives, where it flies and what it might be looking for.
You could draw your map like the ones in fantasy books (like Treasure Island or the Lord of the Rings)
